Introduction

A beautifully minimalist and sultry-styled RapidWeaver theme. Paradise is built on the Bootstrap frontend framework and is a fully responsive RapidWeaver theme; ideally suited towards the construction of simple travel websites and blogs. However support for social media and a RapidCart Pro shopping cart placed in any of the 10 ExtraContent containers also makes this theme highly suitable for e-commerce and many other types of website.

Paradise was formally a theme named 'Might' developed by StackManiac and Jeremy Blazé. The theme was totally rebuilt in November 2015 to bring it up to modern standards and to incorporate many new style and colour settings. This is now a very high-quality RapidWeaver theme which is both easy to use and suitable for many different projects.

FreeStyle banner

The FreeStyle banner container above the page fold is a perfect blank canvas to insert static images a slider or even embedded video. Paradise includes 45 retro-styled example images by default, photographed by the late Chas Woodgate; depicting various scenes from Crete, Rhode, Turkey and Greece. Getting your own static images into the banner is as simple as dragging and dropping an image named header.jpg, freestyle.jpg or banner.jpg into your page (like the styled text sidebar), and the theme will do the rest! Alternatively you can use the FreeStyle banner technique or ExtraContent (documented in the Wiki) to place just about any conceivable content or stack type within this area. The banner shadow effect can be toggled-off if it's not required and we also provide some optional image filters and setting to round the banner corners.

Embedded fonts

By default, Paradise uses the Arvo font face from Google Web fonts. We provide at least 20 web-safe and semi web-safe font faces to use as an alternative. Likewise you can use the free FontStack or follow the instructions in the Wiki for configuring your own embedded font faces. The font face can be independently changed on the navigation bar, headings and body content. Font size and line height settings also exist for greater control over your typography.

Colour pickers

Paradise has a great many colour pickers available, permitting you to quickly change just about any colour shown on the page. This gives you the flexibility to create your own colour schemes and produce websites different to what other RapidWeaver users are publishing.

Fully loaded

This theme may look simple on the surface, but it includes a variety of useful tools to help you build better websites faster and more cheaply; including the complete Twitter Bootstrap frontend framework, jQuery, the Nivo lightbox effect, FitVids (for responsive video), Font Awesome Icons and Retina.js (for optimising your images on retina displays).

Flexible navigation

The navigation bar displayed at the top can either be fixed or relatively positioned. On screens less-than 996px wide, the drop-down menu reverts to become a toggle navigation menu, with each level of links opening and closing as accordion panels. The toggle navigation menu makes navigation far easier on touch devices, and your website users will love navigating your website from their smartphones or tablets! The width of the drop-down menu's can be adjusted, spending on the width of your links.
