Introduction

A strong and dependable RapidWeaver theme, which provides a solid foundation for your next business, blog, portfolio or e-commerce website. Qube is easy to work with, and in less-than an hour, it's certainly feasible to have a professional website ready to publish. The generous array of style settings and support for drag-and-drop banner images ensure you can build websites quickly. Perhaps more importantly, you can build a high-quality website to be proud of - one which adheres to all the latest design and development standards. Because Qube is a conventional RapidWeaver theme, you're also assured it works with all your favourite RapidWeaver page types and plugins.

A banner to do what you want with

This "FreeStyle" banner container in Qube allows you to drag and drop a suitably sized custom image into the RapidWeaver banner drop-zone and instantly have it embedded as a custom banner image. This quickly makes a big impact to website users and helps you make completed websites appear more personalised. Alternatively if you want to take things a step further (and you have access to the Yourhead Stacks plugin), you could potentially include a slideshow or even video. The banner height automatically adjusts to fit your content.

Bootstrap 5 support

Qube can proudly take the accolade of being the first ever RapidWeaver theme with support for the fifth major release of the ever-popular Bootstrap frontend framework built in. This only seems right, given that ThemeFlood was the first company to bring Bootstrap to RapidWeaver! You can peruse the updated Bootstrap website to see all the wonderful new and updated interface components available. If you have basic knowledge of HTML, then many of these components are available to copy and paste into your Qube-built website. No complicated configuration or extra purchases are needed.

Navigation

Qube uses a drop-down navigation menu on desktop screens. On mobile devices, users are presented with a 'menu' button, and pressing that reveals a toggle navigation menu. Quite large navigation structures are supported; meaning that Qube can confidently handle your "larger than average" sized RapidWeaver website! To maintain excellent website accessibility, you'll notice that the entire drop-down menu supports navigation via the keyboard too.

Customising theme labels

The text labels applied to elements like the mobile navigation toggle button, breadcrumb links, and last updated date stamp are freely editable using custom CSS code. Typically the code to use is as follows:

#mobileMenuToggleTitle:before {
content: 'Menu';
}

#breadcrumbcontainer:before {
content: 'Viewing';
}

#lastUpdated:before {
content: 'Updated ';
}
Once added in Settings > Code > CSS within RapidWeaver, you can change the labels shown against these items, if you want to change them.

Supports RWFontKit

Qube has build-in support for over 125 embedded and web-safe font faces. These fonts are bundled as a part of the theme; therefore removing the need to have slow and potentially insecure links to third-party font foundries. A choice of serif, sans-serif and some more fanciful font faces are provided. These can be applied independently to your headings, body content and navigation links. Plus Qube gives you options to change font size and line height from within the theme style settings.

Rounded corners or no rounded corners?

Within the theme style settings, you can easily apply rounded corners on all the key page containers. By default no rounded corners are applied. However options exist to apply rounded corners (from a select menu) in increments up-to 25px. It's entirely personal preference if you want to use rounded corners, or not. Some people prefer rounding whereas others don't!

More

The free trial version of Qube can be downloaded using this link. There is no time limit imposed on the demo version, but page navigation links are disabled in the demo version. Watermarks may appear in parts of the page (like the banner or footer). Purchasing Qube provides you with a licensed copy of Qube; without any demo restrictions applied.

Clicking this link will take you to a sample website published using Qube. This may give you a better insight into how this theme looks and behaves. If you're interested to see how the demo website was built, the same project file can be downloaded here and opened in RapidWeaver. Feel free to use this file as the basis for a new website.
